About Deviant Leather
Deviant Leather is a one man operation which prides itself on quality craftsmanship. As sole proprietor, manufacturer and salesperson, I can assure excellence from start to finish. I see every side of leather that enters my shop, every piece of hardware, and the condition of every tool. I assemble, pack, and ship every finished item myself with old world craftsman quality.

My first serious leather work was in 2001 when I made myself some renaissance faire armor with some college classmates. I had a lot of fun hanging out in a friends garage with a half dozen others, each of us building our own armor to prepare for a faire. That taught me a lot about design and leathercraft, and I still hold on to those wonderful social experiences of building a finished product with good comaradarie in good spirits.

It wasn't until three years later that I started Deviant Leather. I decided that I would make the best quality gear possible and bring it to market at competetive prices. I would not release a product until I was proud of it, until I thought it was perfect. My first product to be perfected was the fur lined wrist restraint. In September 2004, I started selling them to the local BDSM community, followed closely by a line of collars and then paddles. By November, I was wholesaling to upscale leather stores.

One year after the first sale, in September 2005, I acquired an industrial sewing machine that has allowed me to increase my product line and even further improve the product that retailers have already proven saleable. This story is still being written, and as time passes, it only gets sweeter.

Although the catalog is small, the product line is expanding as quickly as I can perfect new designs. There is no reason to rush a product to market before it's the best it can be.
